Golf

Yeast cell wall extracts, FOS and GOS with gut microbiota modulation properties

GOLF is a natural solution based on specific Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeasts cell wall extracts and prebiotics FOS and GOS with gut microbiota modulation properties.

Golf is a prebiotic blend with Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast cell wall extracts that modulate gut microbiota. It provides fermentable fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and galactooligosaccharides (GOS) for beneficial bacteria, along with mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) to agglutinate pathogens and β- glucans for immune support.

Challenge

TBD

Intensive production systems expose animals, particularly young ones, to challenges that can disrupt their intestinal microbiota, leading to dysbiosis. Since a well-developed microbiota is key to growth, digestion, and immunity, protecting them from pathogens during this phase is crucial for their optimal development.

Solution

TBD

Golf production process consists of a patented process of enzymatic hydrolysis followed by transfructosylation / transgalactosilation of saccharose and lactose to obtain FOS and GOS, respectively. These active compounds are associated with MOS and β-glucans which are separated through several enzymatic extraction steps and released from the outer layer of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast cell wall. This blend has Prebiotic and Agglutination effects. A prebiotic is a non-digestible ingredient that promotes beneficial gut bacteria, supporting eubiosis and health. It consists mainly of fermentable fibers found in plant-based or dairy foods such as FOS and GOS. The agglutination of pathogenic bacteria by MOS is the key mechanism of their protective action. MOS bind to lectins (adhesion proteins) on the surface of pathogenic bacteria and prevent them from adhering to the glycosidic patterns of intestinal epithelial cells, they cannot colonize or infect the host and remain in the intestinal lumen before being eliminated by feces.
