Climatic or chemical stress causes an excess of toxic compounds (reactive oxygen species) in the plant cell, leading to oxidative stress which is harmful to the plant’s development. The plant must then mobilize all its resources to detoxify its cells as quickly as possible and resume growth, or risk losing its productive potential.
Solution
Activating stress alert mechanisms in plants
Agroptim SUNSET, with its patented MIP® PLANT mineral technology, stimulates the intracellular calcium signal, which triggers plant cells’ defense mechanisms against oxidative stress. Under the effect of Agroptim SUNSET, the plant increases its concentration of antioxidant compounds and chlorophyll, and intensifies its root function. These reactions accelerate detoxification of plant cells. The crop recovers more rapidly from the stress episode, thus better preserving its production potential.
