Mr Hervé Balusson, Olmix Group’s CEO & Founder, was invited to share the company’s experience and success in the Asian country at the University of Rennes (France).
As part of the Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of Rennes (France) and hosted in collaboration with the World Trade Center Rennes and the CCE Comittee of Brittany, the 6th workshop on ‘Vietnam, a country of opportunities’ counted on the presence and active speech of Mr Hervé Balusson, Olmix Group’s CEO & Founder, who was invited to the symposium to share the Group’s trajectory in the Asian country.
“From the very beginning, Olmix Group was born with the purpose of creating a full, healthy food chain by offering natural, sustainable and respectful solutions for the plant, animal and human health industries. Right from the heart of Brittany, the company strategically decided to spread this philosophy and vision to the whole world and we found in Vietnam a great opportunity and an open door to base our activities in South East Asia“, Mr Balusson said.
In the recent years, Olmix has sharply increased its commercial activities in Vietnam by first introducing its unique algae-based technology to tackle the main challenges in animal health and nutrition, and more recently by providing the Vietnamese Plant Care market with natural solutions to reduce the excesive use of pesticides. This has led Olmix to build-up a strong network thoughout the Asian continent that allows the company to meet customers expectations and market demands.

Precisely, in 2017 Olmix opened its first additive factory in the province of Bình Dương (Vietnam) to strengthen its presence and implement its development strategy all over the Asian continent. Since its opening, the Group has been growing significantly in terms of developing local solutions based on Olmix’s core technologies, algae.
“Our success is due to our vision of using marine algae as a new innovative and renewable resource. The opening of our first production facilities in Vietnam was in fact a milestone in the Olmix Group development in Asia. Our goal is clear: a better service with greater flexibility for our Asian customers. Overall, Olmix’s strategy is to adapt the Group’s algae-based solutions to local situations in order to move towards a global goal: feeding 9 billion people by 2050 in a sustainable way“, he explained.
Olmix is currently involved in several projects in Vietnam and Asia to continue to introduce its innovative strategies to move towards a global, healthy, sustainable and low carbon agri-food chain by making good use of natural and sustainable resources.
