Algae-based biosolutions within the ‘Merci les Algues®’ program are proving to be a must among farmers betting on pesticide reduction and profitable production.
Reducing pesticides and enhancing crops with algae: does it work?
Jean-Marc Onno, farmer and methane producer from Morbihan (Brittany, France), runs a mixed farming operation of 130 hectares of crops and 250 farrow-to-finish sows.
Last season he started using some of the Olmix’s algae-base biosolutions within the ‘Merci les Algues®’ program and approach, which has enabled him to better control and reduce the use of plant protection products with no increase in mycotoxin levels in the wheat, while maintaining and even improving crop yields.
