Olmix Plant Care, in partnership with Nileda Group & Agro Farmacy, successfully held a high-impact seminar dedicated to improving durian quality for export and advancing off-season production techniques. The event brought together over 250 participants, including farmers, dealers, technical experts, government officials, and private-sector stakeholders from across Cambodia.
This seminar marked another significant milestone in Olmix’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance durian cultivation in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. It also reaffirmed the strength of our long-term strategic partnership with Nileda / Agro Farmacy, a collaboration now renewed and strengthened for the years ahead as both organizations continue to invest in farmer knowledge, innovation, and field support.
We were also honored to welcome Mr. Emmanuel Ly-Batallan, Head of the Economic Department & Economic Counsellor at the French Embassy in Cambodia. His presence and insights highlighted the growing role of agricultural cooperation and the importance of sustainable, high-quality production to position Cambodia competitively in future export markets.
Key highlights:
- Regional Technical Expertise & Scientific Credibility
The seminar featured contributions from SOFRI (Vietnam), Olmix (Southeast Asia), and Impact AG (Malaysia), who shared practical and science-based knowledge on plant nutrition, tree physiology, post-harvest challenges, and export requirements.
This cross-country collaboration provided growers with actionable recommendations to reach premium, export-grade durian standards, reinforcing the value of regional cooperation and knowledge transfer.
- Economic Potential & Export Readiness
Speakers emphasized the rapid growth of the durian market and the importance of meeting strict international MRL standards, particularly concerning risks such as Cadmium residues and banned chemicals like BY2.
The discussions highlighted how good agricultural practices, improved nutrient management, and soil–plant health preservation are essential to maintaining export access and capturing premium market value.
- Proven Success in Off-season Flowering
The highlight of the seminar was the presentation of the Year-2 off-season flowering trial results, jointly implemented by Olmix and Agro Farmacy across key durian-growing regions.
These trials showed stronger, earlier, and more uniform flowering, with growers noting clear improvements in tree
Strengthening a regional partnership for durian excellence
Beyond agronomy, the seminar showcased the remarkable progress of the Olmix × Agro Farmacy × Nileda collaboration, which has rapidly evolved into Olmix most dynamic and successful durian-focused partnerships in Southeast Asia.
Through continuous field support, technical training, and shared innovation, this partnership is driving outstanding development for Cambodian growers from better crop performance to stronger profitability thanks to output quality and export readiness.
This strong alignment was further recognized during the event, where Nileda received the Olmix Plant Care Best Partner 2025 award, and Agro Farmacy was honored for Biostimulant Leadership 2025.
Together, these achievements reflect a partnership that is not only delivering results in the field but also shaping a knowledge-driven, sustainable, and high-value durian production ecosystem for the region.
