A Franco–Vietnamese event dedicated to innovation
On October 3, Olmix took part in the Vietnam – France Innovation Forum held in Hanoi, organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC), the French Embassy in Vietnam, the scientific association Rencontres du Vietnam, and the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE).
This event, part of Vietnam’s National Innovation Day 2025, brought together key industry and research stakeholders around the theme “Solutions for Vietnam’s Future”, with a strong focus on decarbonization, smart technologies, and agricultural transition.
Among the speakers, Trinh Quang Thanh, General Manager of Olmix Asialand, shared the Group’s vision for smart, sustainable, and profitable agriculture in Asia.
“It is an honor to take part in this innovation workshop. Olmix represents the agri/agro sector in Vietnam. The presence of Serge Haroche, Nobel Prize in Physics, demonstrates the importance of French innovation and encourages Vietnamese researchers to continue their efforts,” he emphasized.
Putting innovation at the service of livestock farming
During his presentation, Trinh Quang Thanh highlighted Olmix’s new generation of organic trace minerals, designed to support animal nutrition while reducing environmental impact.
“Asia is a continent experiencing strong demographic and economic growth. Our organic trace mineral solutions help enhance animal performance and support our customers as they face this challenge” he explained.
These solutions stand out from traditional minerals through their biosourced origin and compatibility with sustainable livestock production.
“Our organic trace minerals are designed to pose no environmental risks while meeting farmers’ needs,” he added.
A key role in Southeast Asia
The workshop also reinforced that Asia is a strategic growth region for Olmix. The work carried out in Vietnam and China helps adapt nutritional solutions to local realities.
“Vietnam has more than 100 million inhabitants, and its population grows by one million each year. With GDP growth above 7%, feeding this population while meeting the country’s climate commitments — including carbon neutrality by 2050 — is crucial” said Trinh Quang Thanh.
He also highlighted the synergies between the Chinese and Vietnamese markets:
“China is Vietnam’s largest trading partner. The two countries share similar dietary habits, including a high consumption of pork. Vietnam is also developing its livestock and aquaculture production to meet both domestic demand and export needs, particularly in shrimp and fish.”
A shared ambition for the future
By participating in this forum, Olmix reaffirmed its ambition to support the transformation of agriculture in Asia.
“We aim to grow in the local market with comprehensive solutions for livestock and companion animals. We support farmers through our analytical laboratory to foster sustainable development” explained Trinh Quang Thanh.
Finally, he delivered a strong message to Vietnamese and Asian partners:
“It is essential to continue working with universities and research centers to train the future leaders of the industry. Olmix believes in giving opportunities to young talent: I started as an intern 21 years ago, just like our managers in China and Cambodia. Today, they are the ones driving Olmix’s vision in Asia.”
