​Although Europe only accounts for 10% of the world total in number of inhabitants, our old continent is very densely populated. The correct feeding of this population poses many challenges: balanced diets for people with different needs, food safety, animal welfare, economic, environmental, social, and cultural sustainability are concerns of our society. In this way, the efficient use of resources, the smart farming, the commitment to renewable energy, the local production and the quality of the products are very positive contributions that the poultry science can make to the European society.
