Pi Nyvall Collén, Olmix Group’s Scientific Manager, opened up the keynote session of the Pig, Poultry and Dairy Focus Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, on the subject “Animal performance improvement Thanks to Algae”. The presentation covered general information on algae and, more specifically, macroalgae (or seaweed) which are the focus of development for Olmix Group.
Over 100 participants from around the world gathered together at the 10th edition of the Bi-Annual Pheasant Management Seminar. María Ángeles Rodríguez, Olmix Group’s Technical Service Manager, presented a discussion of mycotoxins effects upon game bird health and performance.
The ALGOLIFE project, started in September 2014, is a regional French project which aims to develop the recovery of bioactive molecules from macroalgae for high value-added destinations such as human nutrition and animal nutrition and health.

Last Wednesday, Olmix Group organized a conference talk with its partner Veneta Zootecnici in Schiavon (Italy). The main discussion was focused on mycotoxins contamination as a real threat for the welfare and productivity of dairy cows.
Olmix Group’s Aqua Business Manager Maarten Jay van Schoonhoven delivered a presentation on the effect of an algae-clay based biocatalyst on the digestive and growth performance of juvenile shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei.
The event will be held from March 6th through March 9th in Janesville (Wisconsin, USA). Olmix Group's Technical Service Manager María Ángeles Rodríguez will deliver a presentation about mycotoxins on pheasants.
Olmix Group took part in the JRP (Journées de la Recherche Porcine) symposium 2016, which was held in Paris, France, from 2nd to 3rd February. This year, around 400 participants were involved in the event. Technical Supervisor Frédérick Bussy showed one of the company’s latest research.
